Mitzy Taylor
Commercial Account Executive and Executive Team Leader of our Commercial Insurance Department
Mitzy recently celebrated her 10-year anniversary at State Insurance Agency! She and her experienced team work with top-rated commercial carriers to help protect every aspect of your business. It is their goal to make the process of finding appropriate assignment of risk as easily understandable as possible.
When Mitzy is not at work, she loves traveling to visit historic sites and is an avid reader of History. She is also an interior design buff. One of her favorite charitable organizations to support is Operation 300 because she has been deeply moved by the passion they show for children of fallen soilders who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Michelle O’Donnell
Personal Lines Account Manager and Licensed 2-20 Agent
We’re sure you have seen her out and about in the community representing State Insurance Agency. As an integral part of our team for more than a year now, Michelle works diligently to ensure her customers have the right policy to meet all of their needs. Her motto in business is to “always do the right thing” by her customers.
Michelle recently moved to Florida after spending 20 years in Colorado working in the telecom and payments industries in a sales capacity. Her love of the beach, ocean and boating, and her desire to be closer to family, brought her to Florida – and ultimately to State Insurance Agency!
“I came to work at State Insurance when I began researching my home insurance policy for our new home purchase. I developed a “knack” for it and now enjoy helping people navigate through the home insurance world,” said Michelle.
Michelle attends many charitable events throughout the year and belongs to several local organizations, including the Palm City Chamber of Commerce where she is an Ambassador, the Stuart Chamber of Commerce, the Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce, and the Martin County Realtors of the Treasure Coast where she is an Affiliate Member.
When she is not at work taking care of her customers, she enjoys boating, paddle boarding and marlin fishing (the reason she moved to FL!).
Casi Campbell Brush
Customer Service Support Manager
Casi has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She began working at Frank Warren’s State Farm office when she was a junior in high school in 1989 and has been an integral part of our State Insurance Agency team for the past 10 years.
One of the many things that we love about Casi is that she is extremely organized. In addition to being our Customer Service Support Manager, she is also our head record keeper and keeps all of our teams on track.
You have most likely seen Casi around town volunteering for one of the many local organizations she is involved with. Two charities in particular that are very near and dear to her heart are the Brianna Cooper Heavenly Smiles Foundation and Operation 300.
Casi is a member of Coastal Life Church, and is on the Brianna Cooper Heavenly Smiles Foundation Board of Directors. When she is not at work, you can find her longboard skateboarding with her family, playing tennis and relaxing at the beach.
Nicole Cantella
Personal Lines Customer Service Representative
Nicole has been part of the State Insurance team for almost two years now. After attending Hofstra University, Nicole moved to Florida to focus on her education in massage therapy. She became a licensed massage therapist in 2010 and continued taking educational classes in natural medicine before joining State Insurance Agency and obtaining her 440 license in August 2018.
When she is not at work, Nicole loves spending time with her family, including her boyfriend and two-year-old son Taylor. She also enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening and yoga.
As a lover of all things outdoors, Waves For Water is a cause that is very near and dear to her heart. The nonprofit organization helps provide access to clean water in developing communities around the world. In addition to volunteering with Waves For Water, Nicole also participates in beach clean-ups up and down the east coast of Florida through the Surfrider Foundation.
“Being an outdoors woman, I feel that it is so important to protect the world’s oceans,” said Nicole. “I grew up on the water in New Jersey, and spending summers on the beach was such a big part of my life. I want to be able to provide the same kind of experience for my little boy.”
Laurie Vecchio
Licensed 2-20 Agent
Born in Lakeland, FL, Laurie has been an essential part of the State Insurance team for more than 8 years. Prior to entering the insurance industry, she worked in many fields, including an accounting and law firm and a surgeon’s office that specialized in oncology. She spent many years working in the medical field before starting a family. In 2011, she decided to join the State Insurance team and become a licensed agent.
What brings Laurie the most joy is spending time with her children. In her free time, she enjoys a quiet day with no chores to be done so she can read or spend time with friends – and she also loves Zumba!
Laurie is a member of Life Church and now that her children are older, she looks forward to becoming more involved in nonprofit organizations such as St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Operation 300 and the Brianna Cooper Heavenly Smiles Foundation.
Rachel Garrett
Commercial Lines Agent
Rachel joined the State Insurance Agency team in 2015, and ever since, she has been an asset to our commercial clients working diligently to find the best policy to fit their business needs.
A graduate of Indian River State College with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Management, Rachel earned certificates in Business Operations, Business Specialist, and Graphic Design Support.
When she is not at work, Rachel enjoys practicing photography, cooking new dishes and reading. A nonprofit organization that is important to her is Celebrate Recovery Ministry, whose mission is to help and guide people abroad on a journey to conquer their hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
Carrie Reynolds
Licensed 2-20 Agent
Carrie has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been providing the highest level of service to clients at State Insurance for the last 10 years. A native of Fort Pierce, FL, Carrie attended Indian River State College to obtain her 4-40 Insurance Customer Service License and 2-20 Agent License.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music on her back porch, riding bikes and reading. She is also a parishioner at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Fort Pierce. A cause that is important to her is Misericordia Heart of Mercy in Chicago, IL. It was originally a Catholic orphanage where her father was adopted, and currently, it is a housing community that maximizes potential for persons with mild to profound developmental disabilities, many of whom are also physically challenged. Her cousin has lived and thrived here for over 30 years.
Tammy Brown
Customer Service Representative
Tammy is one of the newest members of the State Insurance team, joining our agency in 2019. As a Customer Service Representative, she works hard to build new relationships and help clients with all their insurance needs.
In her free time, she enjoys boating, scuba diving and fishing. A charity that she is proud to support is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, whose mission is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. No child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay. She has a personal connection to the organization because her nephew was diagnosed with cancer at the age of two and St. Jude was there to help.
Monica Goodwin
Customer Service Representative
Monica has been using her insurance expertise to assist our clients at State Insurance for the past 5 years. She is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a finance concentration.
When she is not at work, she loves spending time with family, reading and watching sports – especially college football! She is a member of Coastal Life Church and is proud to support the nonprofit World Vision. She has sponsored a child from Ethiopia since 2007, and it has been exciting for her to watch him grow, receive updates and correspondence, and see his community evolve with sponsorship, not only from her family but from other families around the world.
Joy Rader
Licensed 2-20 Agent
Joy has been bringing “joy” to our clients here at State Insurance for more than four years now! Prior to joining our team, she studied missions at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO, and music at Fullerton College in CA.
In her free time, she loves singing and playing the keyboard, and is a proud member of Coastal Life Church. An organization that is important to her is Manna Worldwide, a nonprofit engaged in child development programs around the world and in the United States. They construct and oversee orphanages, nutrition centers, schools, medical clinics and clean water projects, and also teach the children about Jesus and the gospel.
